The late 1960s and ’70s witnessed further dramatic advances in personal computer hardware The 1st was the fabrication of the integrated circuit , a solid-state device containing hundreds of transistors, diodes , and resistors on a tiny silicon chip This microcircuit created achievable the production of mainframe (big-scale) computer systems of higher operating speeds, capacity, and reliability at significantly decrease price. One more kind of third-generation computer that created as a result of microelectronics was the minicomputer , a machine appreciably smaller than the common mainframe but effective enough to handle the instruments of an complete scientific laboratory.
This is just 25 of the 45 boxes from my old VT office packed 20 years ago. How could I have so considerably stuff in 1 office.
